Come as you are.

What to Expect

No matter where you’ve been, or what you’ve done, you’re invited to come as you are at Waynesville United Methodist Church. When you enter our doors we want you to know that you are welcome home, and that this is safe place to discover Jesus’ love for you.

Each weekend, we meet together for worship to hear a Bible-based message from our pastor. Our gatherings are a time to discover God’s deep grace and love, be equipped to go into the world to love like Jesus, and experience the impact of community.

Our gatherings include times for prayer and reflection, shared responsive readings, a message, and lots of singing! There’s no need to dress any particular way, just come as you are!

Why Worship?

Each Sunday, we gather as a body of believers to share our love as a community for each other and with God through singing, praying, shared readings, testimony, and learning. By singing and worshipping together, we are uniquely connected with God and others. Worship expresses our love and adoration for God. It reminds us of the Gospel and the amazing grace God has shown us on the cross and through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Colossians says, And over all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. The peace of Christ must be in your hearts—a peace into which you were called in one body. And be thankful, people. The word of Christ must live in you richly. Share together in wisdom by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
