Easter at WUMC

Christ is Risen! We invite you to participate in our Easter Sunday worship and activities on Sunday, April 17!

We’ll start the morning off with Run to the Son 5k at 5:30 am! The run is free and does not require registration. We’ll meet at Roubidoux Park and end at Waynesville UMC. A shuttle will be available back to the park after the Sunrise Service.

Our annual Easter Sunrise Bonfire Service will be at 6:30 am in the Gravel Parking Lot.

Easter Worship is offered at 9am or 10:30 am, with an Easter Egg Hunt at 10am! Children’s Worship and Nursery care will be available during both services. Communion will be served and open to everyone!

Stations of the Cross

We invite you to participate in a self-guided Good Friday meditation experience on Friday, April 15, between 11am-8pm in the Worship Center. Join us in remembering the suffering Jesus took upon himself for us.

Ash Wednesday Service

Ash Wednesday is a special day that reminds us of our human mortality and need for God’s grace. Gather with us for a moving service at 6:30 pm with music, an inspiring word, and reflection to mark the beginning of the season of Lent. Nursery care for children through age five will be available.

You are invited to stop by and receive the ashes, and a blessing from 7 am-9 am at the Worship Center entrance.

Visioning Sunday – Postponed

Visioning Sunday 2022 is now February 6! We want to hear from you as the leadership team dreams about where God is leading our church for the next 3-5 years of ministry.

After worship on Sunday, February 6, we will gather in the community center for a shared meal and a visioning session. Lunch will be served immediately following worship, and at approximately noon, we’ll begin our shared work. Childcare will be provided, and we should finish between 1:30-2 PM. To do our best work, a diversity of voices is needed. Please consider joining us in this important work.

Christmas Eve Services

Christ, our Savior, is born! We invite you to join us for a special Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 6:30 or 11 pm! We’ll sing classic Christmas songs, hear an inspiring message and the Christmas story, and share in Holy Communion to celebrate Jesus’ birth! We’ll end each service singing “Silent Night” while lighting candles.

Nursery care will be available for children up to age 5 at the 6:30 pm service. Holy Communion is open to all.

An online service will premiere on our Facebook page and YouTube channel at 6:30 pm.
